WCJJO Officials Examination

All potential officials for the 2023 Championships will be required to participate in both an examination confirming their knowledge of the Tournament Rules, and a practical application of the Rules.  This will be held at the venue on the Thursday 10th August 2023 commencement time to be confirmed.

 

To assist in preparing, here is a copy of the test, which after completion will let you know how well you are progressing.  The test may be completed as often as you wish … competitors and supporters are also encouraged to have a go.

1. All contests consist of 2 rounds of 2 minutes. In the event of a tie a third round of 30 seconds will be played to determine the winner.

2. If one competitor wins round one but the second round is tied then a third round is necessary to break the tie.

3. If excessive force results in one competitor unable to continue in the match then the injured competitor wins the match.

4. If a competitor is issued a disqualification in the first round, then he/she loses the round, but the second round continues.

5. A major disqualification may result in a competitor not being able to compete for the rest of the tournament.

6. An injury in the first round not due to a foul and the competitor cannot continue, a CALL is made on the round and the second round is recorded as a draw.

14. The first overtime round will be 2 minutes long and subsequent overtime rounds 30 seconds long.

15. A strike or kick to a legal target area, will not be scored unless it is controlled and has the potential force to knock down, knock out, or incapacitate the opponent.
